Future Humber Environmental & Sustainability Policy Statement

1. Purpose:

Bondholderscheme Ltd is committed to integrating sustainability into all aspects of its operations. This policy outlines our commitment to minimising our environmental impact, promoting responsible practices, and contributing to a sustainable future. It is our responsibility to our network and community to operate in an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable manner.

2. Scope:

This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, contractors, and partners involved in our activities. It sets out our commitment to reducing environmental impact, fostering social responsibility, and ensuring long-term economic resilience.

3. Team Engagement:

3.1. We recognise that our team is a key stakeholder in achieving sustainability goals. All team members are encouraged to actively participate in and support our sustainability initiatives. We will provide training and resources to ensure everyone understands and can contribute to our sustainability efforts.

4. Sustainable Event Practices:

4.1. As a place marketing organisation, we acknowledge the importance of events in our work. We are committed to organising and participating in events with a focus on sustainability. This includes reducing waste, promoting recycling, and selecting environmentally responsible event venues.

5. Travel and Transportation:

5.1. Recognising that team members often travel to events and members to ours; we will strive to minimise our carbon footprint. This includes encouraging the use of public transportation, car sharing, and utilising video conferencing when feasible. When travel is necessary, we will explore options for carbon offsetting.

7. Resource Conservation:

7.1 We are committed to reducing our resource consumption by implementing energy-efficient practices, minimising paper usage, and optimising technology to reduce waste. We will regularly assess and update our processes to align with the latest sustainable practices.

8. Procurement:

8.1. In our procurement activities, we will prioritise suppliers and vendors who share our commitment to sustainability. This includes considering the environmental impact of products and services, as well as their social responsibility practices. This will be decided from the scoring criteria.  

8.2. Encourage Bondholder members to adopt sustainable business practices.

9. Continuous Improvement:

9.1. We will regularly assess our sustainability performance, set measurable targets, and work towards continuous improvement. This includes seeking feedback from team members, Bondholders and partners to refine our sustainability initiatives.

10. Communication and Awareness:

10.1. We will communicate our sustainability efforts transparently to our team, Bondholders, partners and the public. This includes sharing our achievements, challenges, and future goals to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices.

11. Compliance:

11.1 We commit to complying with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. We will stay informed about emerging sustainability trends and incorporate best practices into our operations.

12.2. Make sure all employees, Bondholders, Stakeholders are aware of the main contact for the Sustainability Lead.

13. Review and Revision:

13.1. This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Revisions will be made as needed to reflect changes in our organisation, technology, and the evolving field of sustainability.
