Series of FREE workshops for new businesses in Bridlington area are not to be missed!
29 October 2024
A series of free workshops aimed at new businesses, or anyone thinking of starting their own business, will be taking place at Bridlington Business Centre during November.
Funded by the UK Government, the sessions have been organised by Invest East Yorkshire’s Business Support Services team in response to demand from local people. During the summer months, the team invited those living in Bridlington and the surrounding areas to offer feedback on the type of courses that they would be interested in attending locally.
Taking place on Monday evenings, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, the sessions fall on 4, 11, 18 and 25 November, and will cover the following topics:
Session one: Is business right for me?
Session two: The legalities of running a business.
Session three: Understanding business financials.
Session four: Marketing and sales for my business.
Business Support Services Manager Dawn Hall (pictured) said: “This series of workshops is perfect for fledgling businesses, as well as anyone who is interested in launching their own business but doesn’t know where to start. We know from feedback that there’s demand for this type of workshop in the Bridlington area, so we’re expecting places to fill up quickly.”
“The sessions are presented by friendly and knowledgeable experts from Yorkshire in Business, and there will be plenty of opportunity for participants to ask any questions they may have. If you’ve ever dreamed of starting your own business or are a new start-up taking your first few steps in business, don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to boost your knowledge and skills.”
The venue for the workshops, Bridlington Business Centre, is located on Bessingby Industrial Estate, just outside Bridlington. Those who register to take part will be allocated a place at all four sessions. As places are limited, they should only be requested by those who can commit to all four dates.
