The RSPCA Hull & East Riding branch is thrilled to announce a grand celebration marking 200 years of the RSPCA and its dedicated service to animal welfare. This milestone event will take place on Friday 15th November 2024 from 7:00PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull.
It promises to be a night to remember with stories of how our branch have nursed to health hundreds of animals and helped them find their perfect home, a fabulous three course meal, live entertainment for people to dance the night away and a silent auction with fantastic items on offer.
This amazing evening is just £50 per person with full tables of 10 available. Get your ticket from https://bit.ly/rspca200
Fred Owen, Chief Executive Officer at RSPCA Hull and East Riding said: "Celebrating 200 years of unwavering dedication, the National RSPCA Charity, founded by the Hull visionary William Wilberforce, continues to make a real impact on animal welfare across the UK. As a local branch charity, we are delighted to celebrate this milestone with our local community and raise funds for our Branch.
"Our branch, The RSPCA Hull and East Riding, are committed to caring for and rehoming animals, as well as addressing critical issues like cruelty and abandonment. In our history - a century-long legacy - we have shown compassion and innovation in animal welfare, education, volunteering and partnerships and look forward to providing these vital services to the public for many years to come.
"In order to achieve this, I would encourage people to support our work by attending the RSPCA 200th Anniversary Dinner and supporting us in raising money that will help in finding every animal a special forever home, educating future generations in the needs of their pets and supporting and educating our local community about animal welfare. "
The RSPCA Hull & East Riding branch (a charity in its own right) is the largest investor in animal care within the Hull and East Riding, with a state-of-the-art, £1-million Animal Rescue Centre providing a safe haven for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals, playing an integral role in their welfare and rehabilitation.
As a self-funded charity, the branch receives no government funding and relies entirely on community support with fundraising events like this and donations from the public, plus thousands of hours of volunteering across our Animal Care Centre, Retail and Administration roles. Without this volunteer support we wouldn't be able to provide the care or rehome so many animals.
As part of the event, we are encouraging local businesses to become involved as event sponsors or donatate silent auction items. The charity also offers businesses long-term corporate partnership opportunities that allow them to support us in helping to change the lives of animals forever.
