Working as part of their Mental Health and Wellbeing team, the primary focus of this role will be the provision of one-to-one non-urgent high-quality psychological interventions and case-co-ordination for students who are experiencing psychological or emotional distress or poor wellbeing. The post holder will also provide support and advice to students who have experience sexual misconduct and harassment.  The University of Hull are seeking compassionate individuals with significant demonstrable experience of delivering psychological and wellbeing interventions to adults or young adults. The post holder will maintain a case load as well as offering single session or short-term interventions to address a range of presenting needs for example worry and anxiety, exam stress, low mood, sleep, workload management and procrastination. The post holder will have the ability to work with a diverse range of students including those who are neuro-diverse and those from underrepresented groups.  

A sound understanding of the drivers of psychological distress and poor wellbeing alongside the ability to deliver evidence-based psycho-education and interventions for a range of wellbeing needs to a diverse range of students is critical. Knowledge or experience of working with students or within a higher education setting is advantageous. The post holder must be able to assess needs and plan, deliver and evaluate sessions with clear goals and outcomes which meet the holistic needs of the student.
