The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is looking for two new members for the Joint Independent Audit Committee (JIAC).

The vacancies have arisen as existing members are leaving to undertake other roles and will be for an initial period of three years, extendable for a second three-year term.

JIAC is made up of five members, who are completely independent of the OPCC and Humberside Police.  You would be a key component of our corporate governance, providing an independent and high-level focus on the audit, assurance and reporting arrangements that underpin good governance and financial standards.  You would also provide assurance to the PCC and Chief Constable in respect of:

  • Governance
  • Risk
  • Audit
  • Finance

You will receive an annual allowance of £1,480.50 (paid monthly).  The chairperson receives £1,680.00 per annum.  You will also be reimbursed with travel expenses whilst on JIAC business. Induction training will be provided if you are selected.
