OSL Consulting are looking to recruit an experienced contract C&I Designer to join their consulting team in Hessle. The C&I Designer will form part of the C&I Department and report into their Lead C&I Engineer. The role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to provide services to a variety of projects covering chemical, gas and decarbonisation projects.
The C&I Designer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Produce design documentation and drawings that provide safe, fit for purpose fully integrated solutions which meet and adhere to all specified requirements.
- Ensure that they preserve the original design intent and align with client requirements
- Identify any changes to design and inform the wider team, in particular the Lead C&I Engineer and Project Engineering Manager.
- Identify any functional, technical, safety or engineering project risks and inform the Lead C&I Engineer
- Take into consideration manufacture, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning activities when designing solutions.
- Manage own and subordinate’s workload in line with the Project Execution Plan.
- Ensure solutions meet all discipline-related legal requirements including CDM, safety (including application of the engineering design principals), environmental and site licence conditions, and that deliverables and solutions generated are adequately underpinned.
- Ensure understanding and application of relevant legislation, client and project-specific policies, procedures, and design standards.
- Provide necessary engineering input to other disciplines and departments.
