The event is set to take place from 10:30 on 20th July, at Unit 2, Malmo Road on the Sutton Fields Industrial Estate in Hull.

The Market by Dove House represents a revolutionary approach to secondhand shopping, focusing on sustainability, style, and community support. This new venture aims to transform the charity retail experience, at the same time, raising crucial funds for hospice care.

The grand opening promises to be more than just a shopping event. Visitors can expect a day filled with fashion finds, live music, and a celebration of Hull's community spirit.

A local DJ will warm up before Chiedu officially opens The Market and various performers will provide entertainment throughout the day.

Jenny Rowan, Head of Retail at Dove House, commented: "We're excited to have Chiedu Oraka join us for this momentous occasion. His presence adds to the vibrant, community-focused atmosphere we're creating at The Market. This isn't just about shopping; it's about promoting sustainability, individual expression, and supporting vital hospice services. Plus, it will be a great day out.”

The Market offers a curated selection of pre-loved fashion and vintage homewares, all hand-picked and carefully merchandised to create a true destination shopping experience. It's designed to appeal to eco-conscious consumers and style enthusiasts alike, with each purchase directly benefiting Dove House Hospice's compassionate care services.

Chiedu Oraka expressed his enthusiasm: "I'm honoured to be part of this innovative project that combines style, sustainability, and community support. The Market is set to become a hub for creative expression and conscious consumption in Hull.

"Dove House Hospice plays a vital role in our community and I want to help raise awareness of this new concept charity shop so that local people visit, to not only have a great day out, while finding some one-off pieces but also to give back to the charity.

"It's amazing to see how The Market is reimagining charity retail. I'm excited to cut the ribbon and be part of something that's not just about shopping, but about making a real difference in our community."

The Market will be open seven days a week, including extended hours on Mondays, making it convenient for local workers to visit after their workday. Future plans include hosting workshops and events focused on sustainable living and up-cycling, further emphasising the shop's commitment to eco-friendly practices.

Dove House Hospice invites the public to join in the celebration and be among the first to experience this unique shopping destination - https://www.dovehouse.org.uk/market-opening/.
