Hull CVS Volunteer Academy Programme Launched – Strengthening the foundations of Volunteering in Hull.

The Hull CVS Volunteer Academy Programme runs until March 2025 and has been designed to work around any existing organisational or role based training, providing free one-day core training to volunteers. This training covers the fundamentals of being a volunteer and volunteering including:

• An Introduction to Volunteering
• Safeguarding Adults and Children (Awareness) 
• Health and Safety 
• Equality, Diversity and Inclusion 
• Data Protection

Following completion of the Volunteer Academy Programme, volunteers are provided with Volunteer Academy Certification and the opportunity to continue their learning into formal qualifications.

“Every organisation aims to provide the best volunteering experience. Due to funding and capacity however, it can be difficult for organisations, especially those smaller, to provide a robust training package that covers the core essentials all volunteers should have.

Through our Volunteer Academy Programme, Hull CVS will provide organisations and volunteers with increased support through free volunteer training; helping to build a strong foundation for each volunteer to start from and to make their volunteer journey, an incredible one.
