Court of Protection Specialist to present Masterclass in York

Regional law firm Andrew Jackson Solicitors LLP announces that Amy Floater, head of the firm’s Court of Protection team, will present an important update masterclass in York, in association with leading training provider, For Legal.
Amy, who has specialised in Court of Protection matters for several years, will provide legal practitioners with an overview of the key developments and changes in Court of Protection issues, as well as an important update on case law from three significant judgments.
The half-day session will include time for questions, interaction, and discussion, ensuring attendees are equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the topics covered.
Topics covered in the masterclass will include: -
- New online application system – changes and updates;
- new professional deputy standards and their impact on deputyship practice;
- updated guidance on giving gifts by the Office of the Public Guardian (September 2024); and
- recent case law and its impact, including best practice recommendations.
