The Resilient Coastal Communities and Seas Network Launch
Join us for the launch of the UKRI and DEFRA funded COAST-R Network – an inclusive and collaborative community of practice working to build knowledge, action and resilience for UK coastal communities and seas.
We will be joined by guest speakers working to further the resilience of our coastal communities and seas, from across the UK. There will be opportunities to:
- take part in panel discussions
- learn about future funding opportunities
- network with university, industry, government and community colleagues
- and get involved in shaping future Coast-R Network activity.

- Advancing Resilience and Innovation for a Sustainable Environment (ARISE)
- Resilience of Anthropocene Coasts and Communities (RACC)
- Transformative Research Actions for Resilient Coastal Communities (TRACC)
- TRANSitions In Energy For Coastal Communities Over Time And Space (TRANSECTS).

Travel Bursaries
We have a limited number of travel bursaries available to support those for whom the costs of travel are a barrier to attendance. All applications for bursaries will be considered by the conference organisers on or soon after 1st October, with outcomes communicated as soon as possible thereafter. Any funding remaining after 1st October will be allocated on a case by case basis.
If requesting a travel bursary, when making your booking, please provide details of why you wish to be part of discussions at the COAST-R kick off event (150 words max). In the event that travel bursaries are oversubscribed, we will use this to prioritise support to as diverse a group as possible.
