Join The Deep for their autumn instalment of 'Dive Deeper', on Tuesday 8th October 2024 from 6:30pm. During this evening of enlightening talks they will explore the benefit of blue and green spaces to both people and nature, how being on, in or near to water is a benefit to our mental and physical health and how to keep safe and enjoy the water. Finally we will hear from The Deep’s very own Assistant Curator on how they are working with their colleagues at New England Aquarium Animal Rescue Centre in Boston, USA to rescue, rehabilitate and release cold stunned sea turtles each winter.

Sit back and enjoy a relaxed evening of informative talks from their guest speakers:

Matthew Morgan (PhD Researcher at the University of Hull) - Urban Biodiversity around Blue and Green Spaces in Hull

Liam Fayle-Parr (RNLI Water Safety Ambassador) - How to enjoy the water safely

Richard Oades, (Assistant Curator, The Deep) - Sea turtle Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release at New England Aquarium, USA

Tickets are just £7.50 per person, the bar will be open and serving a range of draft beers, wines, soft/hot drinks and snacks.

During the evening there will also be an opportunity to browse and purchase a range of eco-friendly and sustainable products from their gift shop, The Deepartment Store. From reusable water bottles and tote bags to adoption packs, notebooks, pens and their exclusive penguin band keyrings!
