Meet the Speakers

Dave Hudson has over 20 years’ experience working in and with the media. He has worked in local radio since 2004 as a presenter, producer and in a broadcast newsroom. For 12 years, until 2024, Dave was Communications Manager for the Office of the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner, supporting three elected Commissioners coaching them in media skills and preparing proactive and reactive responses for the local and national media.

Suzanne Hughes has over 20 years’ experience working in senior Communications & Public Relations roles in a wide variety of sectors and organisations, including government bodies, NGOs, lobbying & membership bodies, front line health organisations, police, fire, local authorities, and charities. Suzanne has trained and coached hundreds of spokespeople for a range of high-profile media interviews, including flooding, health policy, high court cases, organ retention, covid, and much more.
