Hull & East Yorkshire Children's University

Hull & East Yorkshire Children’s University (HEY CU) is a charity working with over 13,000 children each year. These children attend schools in some of the most deprived areas of Hull and East Yorkshire and can have very limited life experience.

HEY CU delivers experiences, trips and initiatives to help raise children’s aspirations, build their confidence and engage them in education and opportunities. Through these experiences children get to visit new places, meet inspiring role models and discover their own unique gifts, talents and interests.

School staff often comment on the improvement in children’s behaviour, attitudes and confidence as a result of the HEY CU trips and the HEY CU team regularly hear children remark, “This has been the best day of my life!”
