www.heysmilefoundation.orgIn 2018 we invested 23,000 hours helping charities thrive across Hull and East Yorkshire.
With the help of our partners, over 350 local charities had access to free resources from the Smile Vault. This service means they can borrow high value items free of cost to use at events, exhibitions and discussions, enabling fundraising and profile enhancement. Items range from gazebos and iPads to giant games and projectors.
Working with key partners such as East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Humber NHS Foundation Trust and HEY Mind, we’re continuing to develop our offering to charities and community groups across Hull and East Yorkshire. This includes funding advice, volunteering, developing new projects and connecting groups to provide a stronger collaborative offer.
The Smile Vault service is invaluable to local groups. We only have one pick-up and drop off point in Hull city centre and our plan is to develop additional satellite spots across East Yorkshire.
We currently operate two local NHS charities: one for Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust and the other for Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. These fall under our Smile Health umbrella and we will be increasing the number of NHS charities we operate.
Smile is renowned for developing and delivering outstanding corporate and community events such as Devil’s Kitchen, the Humber Bridge Soapbox Derby and Boss Behind Bars. During 2019, our 10th birthday year, we will continue to develop our event offering.
Being a Bondholder gives Smile and gives us an additional platform to communicate our work to businesses across the region. We operate Smile like a successful business and we’re proud to showcase the WOW across Hull and East Yorkshire.
