The Waterline 2024
The Waterline has become a cornerstone in advancing the Humber’s net-zero ambition, aligning businesses, academia, and communities with the global climate change agenda since its inception in 2019.
Every year, the Waterline evolves to address emerging challenges and opportunities in sustainability and this year promises to be no different.
For 2024, we are planning new and exciting elements to the Waterline campaign, ensuring it remains a dynamic and impactful series of events, further supporting our communities and ensuring the success of a national event here in our region:
- The Waterline Business Breakfast: The Waterline, in partnership with Future Humber and The University of Hull, will host one high-impact event that brings together leaders in net-zero to discuss the critical themes of the day. The event will focus on the strong collaboration of business, community and academia, and tackle the topics of priority. This will then be followed with the finals of the Phillips 66 Waterline Sustainability Challenge.
- Phillips 66 Waterline Student Sustainability Challenge: Hosted by Phillips 66, we will engage students through the Student Sustainability Challenge, fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders in sustainability. We invite business representatives to browse the student exhibition, vote for your favourite projects and hear the results live. Find out more about the challenge and register your interest.
- Integration with the Great Northern Conference: We are supporting the Great Northern Conference, reinforcing our commitment to regional, northern and national development and sustainability.
As ever, we are constantly evolving The Waterline to support our vision, our purpose, and our Bondholders. We remain committed to bringing together business, community and academia and we want to ensure that we hold strong to the remarkable elements that tackle challenges real to us and our region.
In 2024, The Waterline has already supported initiatives like the Innovation Zero Congress, and is supporting the Carbon Clinics, Coast-R Network Launch, and the Great Northern Conference.
Exhibition space for business
To enable us to provide a strong student/business overlap at this year’s Waterline on Nov 27th, we have decided to dedicate the exhibition space to our schools and colleges – we are recommending that all of our partners who wish to have an exhibition stand within The Waterline programme of events this year do so at The Great Northern Conference on 3rd Dec.
We have negotiated 50% off exhibitor sponsorship for Bondholders.
